I launched JVB in 2012 after working as a self-employed carpenter for a variety of builders and gaining first-hand knowledge of the industry. The company has grown in recent years and our reputation for delivering high quality work has gone from strength to strength. I have a fantastic in-house team and a skilled workforce. I am always looking at new opportunities to develop the business and our productivity, to ensure we continue to be regarded as a market leader in the construction industry.

Steph Murray
Design & Marketing Manager
Steph is heavily involved in the design of our projects from start to finish ensuring that they follow the principle of form and function in addition to selecting materials and implementing finishes touches to our projects. Steph is also responsible for JVB’s marketing and social media.

Emma Morris
Office and Projects
Emma has over 10 years experience working in the Construction industry, her role at JVB Construction is to offer first class support to Joe and JVB’s projects. She is heavily involved in the implementation of new systems, processes and ensuring the organisation of our back office operation is professional and best practice. Emma covers multiple areas within the company which include coordinating all staff training and events as well as reviewing our supply chain.

Hannah King
Finance Manager
Hannah is a qualified chartered CIMA accountant who began her career in the construction sector over 7 years ago. She has held senior finance positions in the industry and joined JVB in June 2022. Hannah will take responsibility for leading and developing our accounting package and will deliver Accounting and Reporting services (RTR) across the JVB footprint as well as work in collaboration with the commercial team to ensure continuous improvement to all processes.

Darren Whittingham
Contracts Manager
My role at JVB is to ensure the projects I oversee run to schedule, are delivered within budget and exceptional build quality is maintained throughout. I build good working relationships with all stakeholders and ensure our Clients have a positive experience for the lifetime of the project. It is my responsibility to ensure my sites are well managed and our main contractor procedures and Health & Safety Legislation is followed at all times. With a background in carpentry and business management, throughout my career I have dealt with all aspects of construction, contract and site management and commercial requirements.

Alan Tamkin
Commercial Manager
Alan joined JVB as a Commercial Manager in 2022, with over 22 years of experience he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. His role is to manage the commercial team and to ensure they are operating to the highest standards; he will be working closely with pre-construction and the finance team to ensure our clients not only benefit from high-quality projects but also value for money. Alan has strong relationships within the industry, this will help push the business forward and strengthen its future.

Robin Kent
Senior Site Manager
Robin is an experienced Project Manager who manages key client projects. He coordinates and completes projects on time, within budget and within scope. Robin oversees all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitors the progress of the project. He prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project. Robin is a highly motivated individual committed to ensuring each project is delivered to the highest standards.

Steve Ashton
Senior Site Manager
Steve has been in the construction industry for over 20 years and has been with JVB for over 10 years. Steve is a qualified carpenter and holds qualifications which include NVQ’s, SMSTS, First Aid and Scaffold Safety. Steve has excellent leadership skills and his role within the business soon developed into Site Management. Steve liaises with clients, reports progress to site staff and Head Office, he checks and updates company systems, motivates the site workforce and ensures Health and Safety is always adhered to. Steve’s construction knowledge is vast, he has excellent attention to detail, his high expectations maintain JVB’s standards when he performs quality control checks.

James Smith
Groundwork Manager
James has worked with JVB for many years, he decided to join JVB permanently in 2022. The foundations of any construction project are the first and most critical, he has the skills and experience to get the job done professionally, safely, on time and on budget. With over 15 years’ experience in the commercial and domestic sector he has a proven track record, he manages the groundwork team and ensures all groundwork and foundations are completed to the highest standard on every project. James is an invaluable member of the team, often required for hard landscaping at the end of our projects, keeping this in house guarantees a top-class finish from the start of a project to the very end.

Dean Gellett
Site Manager
Dean has been in the construction industry for over 10 years working as a qualified carpenter. After nearly 3 years with JVB Dean took the opportunity to progress into a site manager role. Dean is still in the early stages of his new role but has already obtained his First Aid qualification as well as his Telehandler licence, Dean has good construction knowledge but JVB are keen to invest in Dean to propel his career.
