Construction of a 13,000 sq ft family home

SUMMARY

Construction of the exterior works of a luxurious 13,000 sq ft detached house which will consist of six bedrooms, five bathrooms, eight reception rooms and basement offering a car garage, cinema and gym once complete.

The house build has been completed using locally sourced Horsham Stone, black timber cladding and a slate tiled roof. It has also been finished with a beautiful frameless curved glass window feature overlooking the landscaped rear garden.

“The stone used on this project was natural stone, not calibrated, so all different sizes and beaded mortar joints were used to create additional texture – the materials and methods used were more labour intensive and specialist tools had to be used.

The stonework around the windows had to be rebated by hand to suit the window frames and the timber cladding had to be scribed at the stonework junctions.”
