New house construction Frimley
Frimley is a small town located in the Surrey Heath borough, just 30 miles southwest of central London. It’s situated between the M3 and M4 motorways, and so easily accessible via both car and train, with Frimley railway station just a few minutes walk from the high street. A small population of 6,178 people reside here in this affluent area.
History of Frimley
Although it is a town of Saxon origin, with its Saxon name ‘Fremma’s Lea’ meaning Fremma’s clearing’, it is not listed in the 1086 Domesday Book. The land now known as Frimley was owned by Chertsey Abbey from 673 to 1537 and was a farming village, before being used as a coach stop on a popular road to Portsmouth and Southhampton for the next 400 years.
